Tsujidou-san no Jun’ai Road Update #3

I have some good news and some bad news this week. But let’s start off with the update as usual.

As you can see, the first part of the common route is done. The second part of the common route is only half as long as the first part, so we should be done with that soon under normal circumstances.

Unfortunately, circumstances will not be normal for the next 10 days. Triplicate will be busy starting from tomorrow and he won’t be able to translate until the 18th. Stuff like this happens, and we hope you understand.

That’s it for the bad news, but like I said; I also have some good news.

The end of the first part of the common route was pretty good, and as such we’ve decided to release a partial patch for the first part of the common route. This patch will still very much be a work in progress patch, but we feel like it’s a smart thing to do to get something tangible out there.

Reason for that is, is that we’re very curious what people think of the VN up until the point we’ve translated. By which we mean the story itself, but also our translation. We both feel we’ve captured the style of talking of the delinquents so far, but we’re very curious as to how it’s received. The speaking habits of the characters and the accents used by the characters is still something we’re playing around with, and we’ve settled on a style that we think fits.

So this patch is also a way for us to measure if people like how we’ve done that; if you aren’t happy or if you have any better alternatives, please let us now and we’ll get back to you.

The script has had one readthrough so far, so while Trip’s being MIA I’ll be going over the script again. Once that’s done Trip will check my final changes and we’ll release the patch shortly after that. This should all be done before the 18th.

Note that the patch won’t be final, and that it’ll probably see some changes in the future.

So yeah, once again, some good news and some bad news. We hope you understand.
